Unified finance data lake

Today, ERPs model data that is with them, in a queryable fashion. So do all other apps in your tech stack. Rever unifies these data layers into one lake that lays the foundation for all automations, decision 'Nudges' and AI-query interface.

Modern finance stacks span ledgers, operational systems, HR & payroll, spend, and data warehouses. Each holds a piece of the truth. None of them holds the entire truth.

Bitemporal storage means every record has two time axes - when the event occurred and when we learned about it.

Defer to next period

The standard close runs 5–15 days after month-end. During that window, the books are indeterminate and last month's actuals don't exist yet. This month's run-rate is a guess, and decisions get made on stale numbers, then gets re-justified once the close finishes.

The Loop changes this model - reconciliation runs continuously, and verification runs in parallel. The ledger is always live, and close-day becomes a review - confirming what the system already determined, not reconstructing it from scratch.

What changes in production: median close time drops from 12 days to just 2 days. FTE hours on close drop ~68%. Journal adjustments drop ~84%.

01 / RECONCILE

Match across systems automatically.

Bank to ledger, accounts-payable to vendor bills, accounts-receivable to customer payments, inter-company to inter-company - these are fully automated and real-time record matching with Rever. Reconciliation runs continuously, and by the time a human looks, 95%+ transactions have already been reconciled.

02 / VERIFY

Double-entry consistency at ingest.

Every transaction must balance and every entry must map to a valid account and entity. Failures get automatically surfaced for review - so they don't quietly corrupt your books.

03 / ACCRUE

Recurring accruals book themselves.

Subscriptions, leases, deferred revenue, payroll cutoffs - the Loop tracks the obligations and books the accrual entries as the period progresses, not in a frantic last-day batch.

04 / CLOSE

Period locks, automatically.

Final reconciliation runs, accruals completion, trial balance generation, all fully automated. Sign-off becomes a simple check, and not a project. SOX-aligned controls are configured once and get enforced everywhere.

The Sentinel.
Continuous financial checks and controls.

Anomalies, two-way/three-way match failures, duplicate vendors, policy breaches, fraud signals - the Sentinel runs checks and controls on every transaction at the time of ingest. It compares to the canonical history in the Lake, and generates a 'Nudge' the moment something doesn't fit, before it enters the system of record.

Most ERPs ship with rule engines that catch the obvious only, - duplicate invoice numbers, mismatched amounts, accounts that don't exist. They are necessary but not enough. The errors that matter are the ones that pass the rules.

A vendor invoice that matches the PO exactly but the goods never arrived, A duplicate payment to a vendor that changed its name slightly, a spike in a small G&A line that doesn't trip a threshold but doesn't match historical pattern.

These are not rule violations. They are pattern violations. The Sentinel watches for them. Median false-positive rate is 3.1%, compared to rule-based systems running at 18–25% - the difference between "actionable" and "ignored."
